Mark Wray Architects is an RIBA Chartered Practice established in 2013 and specialising in the re-imagining of historic buildings and sensitive contemporary new design. Our projects range from private houses through to public buildings with a common ethos for high quality and appropriate design. Our services are tailored to suit homeowners and institutions working at a variety of different scales and budgets, and span the whole design process from sketch ideas through to construction and completion. Based in Bath, we work across the UK with projects in London, Merseyside, Devon and North West Wales.

We work collaboratively with our clients from the outset to provide solutions that address the constraints and opportunities that each site presents in an elegant and functional way. Our work develops from an understanding of the context, both in terms of geography and history to ensure that they feel appropriate response to their setting. We seek sustainable and low carbon solutions and are members of the Association for Environmentally Conscious Building (AECB). Our designs are contemporary but avoid the whims of fashion in favour of a timeless pragmatic solution, combining modern and traditional quality materials with considered detailing and inherent flexibility to ensure that our buildings have longevity.
