Extension & Refurbishment of a Grade II Listed Villa

 

Originally an 18th Century farmhouse, this Grade II listed property was extensively remodelled during the Victorian period to become a villa to enjoy the views of the nearby coastline. Alongside the comprehensive repair and refurbishment of the historic fabric, a contemporary long-gallery was created to replace the ad-hoc modern additions. Connecting the informal family spaces, the wide eaves of the extension echo the existing house and large sliding glazed doors are interspersed with dry slate piers.
